Traveling Back in Time….

Just less than a year ago my husband stumbled onto a video promoting the remake of the vintage 1961 Shasta Airflyte camper.  We were hooked immediately…and we placed an order for a camper that wasn’t even in production.

Sweet T
The adventure begins…

The Shasta Airflyte was introduced in 1941. The 1961 was the most popular model ever manufactured. Forest River decided to reissue a limited number of these beloved campers.  They manufactured 1941 of the 1961 in three colors; matador red, butternut yellow and seafoam green…our camper is number 1615 of 1941.

Seven months later we drove over 1000 miles to pick up our little piece of history. Since bringing her home we have struggled to come up with an appropriate name that embraces the camper and our lifestyle.

These little campers scream for attention…and whenever we take her out she is a show stopper.  People stop us and want to share stories about growing up and camping in a Shasta.  They always ask to look inside…this little camper is our home away from home and the interior decor reflects our personality and lifestyle.

Finally, we have named our girl. Her name is Sweet T, not sweet tea, but Sweet T.  The T is for Terrill our last name, Texas our home state, Travel which we plan to do lots of in our little 19′ rolling bed and breakfast.

Over the coming months we plan to share our travels and adventures with Sweet T.

She said: “Where do you want to go first? ”

He said: “The Grand Canyon!”
